Mallorca is extraordinarily varied within a very small area. Between the urban capital, the international southwest, the bays of the southeast, the rural centre of the island and the mountain villages of the Tramuntana there are only a few minutes by car - and yet worlds apart.

The most international and most expensive market on the island. Port d'Andratx is regarded as the most exclusive address, along with Camp de Mar and the marinas of Puerto Portals and Port Adriano. Inland lie Calvia, Es Capdella and the mountain villages of Galilea and Puigpunyent.
The seventh-largest city in Spain and the only truly urban property market on the island. Son Vida, Genova and Bonanova are in demand, as are the old town around the cathedral, Santa Catalina and Portixol and Es Molinar on the waterfront.
The cliff coast of Llucmajor with established urbanisations such as Son Veri Nou, Cala Blava, Puig de Ros, Bahia Grande and Tolleric. Front-line sea views across the Bay of Palma at more moderate prices. The hinterland is pure finca country.
From Sa Coma to Es Trenc: the calas, the natural harbour of Portocolom, Cala d'Or and Porto Cristo. Around Santanyi lies the strongest finca market on Mallorca.
Quieter and more traditional, with Arta as its centre. Canyamel is the best-known high-quality address, along with Cala Ratjada, Son Servera with Cala Bona and Cala Millor as well as Colonia de Sant Pere.
Binissalem, Santa Maria del Cami and Inca close to Palma, plus quiet rural municipalities such as Algaida, Sant Joan and Llubi. On the edge of the Tramuntana lie Selva, Caimari, Mancor de la Vall and Bunyola. Above all a finca market.
The UNESCO World Heritage mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana with Banyalbufar, Estellencs, Deia, Esporles and Bunyola. Hardly any apartments, but chalets and large fincas, a market shaped by scarcity.
